The Bible tells us the good news that God made us and loves us.
But we have chosen to have nothing to do with Him or the way of life He wants for us.
Many people try to restore the relationship with Him, but the gap between us, created by sin (all the things we do wrong and all of the good things we fail to do) cannot be bridged. We are not good enough.
God’s justice demands that a price is paid in order to account for our sin.
But God in His love offered to pay the price by dying in our place on the cross.
Jesus rose from the dead so that we would could be sure that what He said about Himself was true. You can read what Jesus said in the Gospel of John, an eyewitness account of Jesus’ life death and resurrection. The resurrection proves He has won our freedom.
We need to gratefully accept Jesus’ act of love and grace and forgiveness, and invite Him by faith to take His place in our lives. By putting our faith in Him we can know Him as Saviour and Lord.
